i'm an aunt!

In the wee small hours of the morning I became an Aunt.

The whole world changed today, even if much of the world didn't feel the difference. There is more beauty in it today than yesterday, more gentleness, more laughter, and a brand new reason to smile.

Welcome little one. You kept us waiting, but I have a feeling you were worth the wait.

Update: January 20th

I finally got a photo of little Corrina. I think she looks like Dave around the eyes and like Janie everywhere else. And of course she's beautiful. Here she is:

Aunt Claire: Corrina has been telling us that she just can't wait to meet you! How lovley of someone to send you flowers and such! Thanks for your prayers, and messages, and joy!

Just having dinner now! it is so nice to have a mom around to help with these things! I might have time to put the other pictures we have up tomorrow, so keep your eyes open for more. She is such a sweetie and she is going so well at feeding, sleeping, pooing and being cute!
Love you

Congratulations on becoming an Auntie!!! It's a wonderful experience, I know (my eldest niece just visited from Australia, and is 20 now :P)

PS(I dropped in via my friend Andrew's Rants of Issachar, and have been enjoying reading your blog!)

Thanks for all the congrats and yes, I do plan to spoil her silly. The Children's section at Chapters is becoming even more familiar :)

Can't wait to see her in March.

Hi Katinka,

I thought your name sounded familiar and then you mentioned Issachar. I went to school with him back in the day.

Glad you've enjoyed the blog.z
